You asked, I’m answering!

Q: What countries am I going to?

A: Lord willing, if the borders open up in time, I will be going to Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Nepal!

Q: How long will I be in each country for?

A: Originally, I was only supposed to be going to three countries, staying in each country for three months! But now that it’s four countries, I’m not exactly sure!

Q: How long am I going to be gone for?

A: September 1, 2020-May 31, 2021, making a grand total of nine months!

Q: What am I most excited for?

A: Seeing the world and sharing Jesus with those who maybe have never heard of His name before! And meeting/spending a year with amazing people!

Q: What am I most nervous about?

A: Probably just the first few weeks of getting to know my squad and missing my fav people at home!

Q: What is my favorite thing I’m packing?

A: I’m not sure! Probably all the cool camping gear I’m bringing!

Q: When am I going?

A: September 2020!

Q: What am I going to purposefully abandon that makes me feel secure in order to grow through discomfort?

A: So, all my life, I’ve hated leaving my comfort zone. Some people thrive on that but not me. I used to be the biggest introvert, but over the last year or two I’ve grown so much! Applying for the WR was actually really hard for me. I knew I wanted to do it for two years but when it came time to go for it I almost didn’t. That comfort zone thing held me back. I didn’t want to leave my little part of the world and go with people I’d never met before. But ultimately, I know that God is going to make it the best thing ever.

So, I guess the answer is that I’m going to abandon my comfort zone and let God lead the way to the most fulfilling life that I could never achieve on my own.
