Hey friends! I wanted to share something a little different today. Last week, we were prompted to write a spoken word so I thought I’d share the one I wrote with ya’ll! Enjoy!
Our King is not one of simplicity
But He makes the unfathomable easy to understand
His truth is recognizable above all lies
Truth and justice are from Him
Shame can be cast away and replaced with our identity in Him
our identity will mirror Christ in our love towards one another
And the world will stand in awe of this kind of love
This love that judges no man but spreads the light of the kingdom of Heaven
The love that casts a light on the cross of our Savior
That unconditional love that cares for the victim and the perpetrator
That forgives all sin, no matter how large
And brings us all together as one to create a mega light to shine on all creation
You see, Jesus didn’t just die for me to go to Heaven
He died for me to be reconciled back to Him
He died for me to spread it with everyone I meet
And the purpose of it all is to say,
‘Glory to the Father
Glory to the Son
Glory to the Spirit’
This is real and raw agape love
Nothing compares to it
Nothing can even compete with it
His love is superior
It’s patient, kind, humble, equal, just, honest, fearless, honorable, real love
It is unattainable without the Spirit
It isn’t fleshly but supernatural
Truth is only found on His foundation
