Where do I begin? I’m ’supposed’ to be in Costa Rica right now after finishing up the first few months of my race in Guatemala. Instead, I’m at home after finishing up my first few months in Gainesville, GA. It’s weird to think that our plan b was actually Gods plan a all along. He knew I’d move to GA instead of Guatemala and now looking back I wouldn’t have changed one part of it, even though a few months ago I might’ve wanted to. So what did I learn in GA? Buckle up, you’re about to find out:)
Month 1: I learned what true community is. My squad surrounded me with their prayers and encouraged me when I wanted to be home with my family when they were going through a hard time. (I love you Gap C) I learned how to be vulnerable with my team and let myself open up fully to those around me. I learned to be content with little and actually enjoy it!
Month 2: I learned how teamwork works best. I learned the value of just sitting down and having a conversation with someone is way higher than clearing their lawn quickly. I learned what real church can look like.
Month 3:I learned to live with a whole bunch of people in one big room (post tent life) and enjoy it. I learned to be satisfied in the presence of the Homy Spirit and to be satisfied with only Him.
Thats just scratching the surface of what I’ve learned! I may write a few blogs on a few things specifically. But this is all for now!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look into my life in Gainesville! Next stop, Guatemala!
Hannah 🙂
God made big moves through our time in Gainesville and i’m so thankful for the change now looking back in hindsight. never would have picked it on my own, and now so thankful for all God used it to reveal to us!
Kate! I’m soooo glad that you were able to be with us almost every day! You’re the best!!
