Hey ya’ll!
Somehow God lead you to this blog post so I hope you decide to read the full thing! Anyways I’ve never written a blog post before so I’m learning as I go! Here’s goes nothin’!
I live close to Nashville, TN and I LOVE coffee! I’m actually a lead barista and roaster for a local coffee shop. It’s literally like two minutes from my home in a small downtown area of TN. I love it there and its given me a wonderful opportunity to meet and become friends with people from my town! I’ve learned a lot about coffee culture and its possibly something I can pursue in the future, whether that be opening a coffee shop or traveling for coffee purposes! Anyways, moving on now lol.
So I’m 19 yrs old and I’m the fifth born of seven! I’m currently not in college but I keep busy by working at the coffee shop ( as I said before haha ) and in the afternoons I work at an after school program at a taekwondo school that I also take classes from in the evenings. Also, I spend a lot of time with a group of really awesome college-aged students doing everything from ice skating to evangelizing in our community! So yeah, I’m pretty busy but I love it!!
When I decided to apply for the Gap Year it was actually really exciting and difficult. I wanted to travel the world and see all the amazing things God was going to do… but I was scared because I don’t know anybody and I would have to stretch my comfort zone A BUNCH. Also how was I going to raise over $16,000??? But then I heard God reminding me of the man that wanted to follow him. He wanted to follow Jesus but he wasn’t willing to leave his family for God. God was asking me if I loved him or my family/friends more… I knew if I chose to stay home it would be because I loved them more than I loved my Savior. So I decided to go ALL IN. He’s our provider, so I knew that if he wanted me to go he would get me there!
So there’s a little about me! I hope you’ll subscribe to stay updated with my journey!
Your prayers are 100% appreciated and I don’t take prayer lightly! Who’s ready to join me in watching God do the impossible?!!
Thanks for reading guys!!
